THE MATTERHORN SKI PARADISE - The home of HUGE mountains!

Cervinia / Val Tournenche / Zermatt

Sitting at the base of the Matterhorn, the iconic Italian village of Cervinia is the center of a vast ski area encompassing Cervinia and Val Tournenche in Italy and Zermatt in Switzerland. This gives you 360km’s of piste and a really nice contrast between the busy Zermatt area and the relatively quiet Cervenia and Val Tournenche.

The ski terrain ranges from stunning family terrain in Cervinia to extreme glacier skiing on the Findelgletscher and Gornergletscher glaciers. For powderhounds the high altitude Stockhorn-Rote Nase-Hohtälli zone is simply awesome.

In terms of accommodation you can choose to stay in the bright lights of Zermatt or in the relatively quieter (and significantly less expensive) Cervenia.

Accommodation ranges from affordable chalets to beautiful full service hotels.

The Dolomiti Superski offers 12 Bellissima ski areas connected by 450 ski lifts all under the one lift pass.

Cortina d'Ampezzo is unarguably the center of all the action but the pass does encompass other fantastic resorts such as Plan de Corones, Alta Badia, Val Gardena/Seiser Alm, Val di Fassa/Carezza, Arabba/Marmolada, Sextner Dolomiten-Alta Pusteria, Valle di Fiemme/Obereggen, San Martino di Castrozza/Passo Rolle, Valle Isarco, Trevalli-Moena/S. Pellegrino/Falcade and Civetta.

Shadowed by the soaring peaks of the Marmolada, Sella Massif, Padon and Col di Lana with 1823m of vertical and 28 lifts these villages have excellent links to the rest of the area and an excellent range of family run accommodation options.

CIVETTA -  One of the larger ski bases in the Dolomites Civetta has 3 ski bases Alleghe, Pescul and the Val di Zoldo. One of the quieter and forgotten resorts with 1100m of vertical and 80km of mainly beginner and intermediate pistes. Civetta has a good range of excellent value accommodation.
