An average day consists of 8 -10 runs of unbelievable untouched powder skiing with a bunch of like minded people. You then re-live the day in the lodge or the hot tub over a few pints, it truly is the pinnacle of skiing.

There are several heli ski operations in Canada from day heli operations from a resort to 4,5 and 7 day lodge based operations where you immerse yourself in Heli culture. The operations we have chosen offer fantastic value, excellent fly / stay deals and have excellent reputations.

Heli skiing in Canada is very reliable due to the fact that many of the runs are located in the trees. This means helicopters can operate below the cloud line safely and the chance of "No Fly" days are greatly reduced in Canada.

With two ski bases in Northern British Columbia Last Frontier offers two distinct experiences. 

Ripley Creek, based at Stewart right on the Alaskan border (you can cycle to Alaska) is a rustic funky hotel right in town. The terrain tends to be steeper, with massive glacier runs and old growth tree suns. With more maritime weather Ripley also gets around 30% more snow which means deep powder. While the location can mean more "No fly" days, there's more to do in Stewart on these days.

Bell 2 Lodge located in the center of the Skeena mountains is completely off the grid. The snow is dryer, the season is longer and the terrain is 360 degrees around the lodge.  Towering peaks, wide open bowls, glaciers, tree skiing, faces, its all here.

A big difference with Last Frontier is that they only have 3 groups of 4 skiers per helicopter. This means you're only sharing your slopes with 12 people!
